The film industry is currently offering a handful of films to watch in the face of recent tragic events in the United States.
If you’re in the US, open the TV app and look for the Black in America section on the Watch Now tab. You can watch and buy for free for a limited time to own the films at reduced prices. The addition of the curated collection was first initiated by the Screen Times Blog.
These films are available to everyone in the TV app, no TV + subscription required.
These films are made available free of charge by the studios. So if you don’t have access to the TV app, you should also be able to find it to watch for free on Amazon Prime and other VoD services.
Warner Bros. has been a leader in freeing Just Mercy earlier this week, and many other studios are now offering their films to raise awareness of systemic racism issues.
The films include recent releases such as ‘Emanuel’ and ‘Brian Banks’ as well as older classics such as ‘The Black Power Mixtape’ and ‘Ali’.
Unfortunately, these films were not borrowed for free outside of the United States.
